Gallary Project 7: Shore Raid

Storyline

The idea and approach for this scenario was a smaller sized construction despite the realism. Having said that, what actually happens in the narrative? The British Infantry try to raid the V-2 launch side on the edge of a cliff guarded by an division of German Infantry. The occupying force is armed pretty well. Means with tanks, artillery and enough manpower.

This means the attacking force opposes this as well with enough equipment and resources. The causalities are much higher among the British because the high number of of wounded men. Fighting from down under and moving uphill reminds more of a scene from the "Charge Of The Light Brigade" from 1854. Easy targets for the Germans because of the lack of coverage for the brave men moving half a league onward.

Although the defenders seems to be in a good position at some point hey will run out of ammunition. Hence a breakthrough is inevitable. Which needs time, more resources and support. Whether this is provided by see or air is not clear at this point. Important is that the assault has to happen, no matter the cost. Each V-2 has a devastating impact on the other side of the Channel and causing many more innocent victims among civilians.
