View from the South

The images below of close-up figures and models are depicting the left part of this skerries thrypich called the "south" side.

Close-Up 1: The South View

At the lower layer, a move has also been made bridge-less, crossing the river by rock jumping. The British command's are attempting to reach the opposite river bank to combat the Germans excavating a the cave.

Close-Up 2: Valentine

Teh commandos are also able to bring in a second Valentine as infantry supporting tank.  

Close-Up 3: Crossing The River

Brave soldiers crossing a raging white water 1 by 1 without knowing what on the other side yet. 

Close-Up 4: Shot

At start of crossign alraedy shot by enemy fire.

Close-Up 5: River Bank

Mounting the shore doesn't go easy and no otehr way than pushing through.

Close-Up 6: Canoe Support

Commandos are peddling upstream to support while their fellows attempting to climb up the steap bank. Actually two canoes in a row.

Close-Up 8: Gave

Underneath the mountain a natrual cave is mined for some resources. Unclear what, but enough Germans to go after which set fortifications. 

Close-Up 12: Tank

Germans are even able to bring in a Panzer IV to batter the commandos along the riverbed.

Close-Up 11: Flak

 Flak-38 anti-air is active in a perfect hiding place by overlapping rocks. Where did they het Italian Reconnaissance Car from?

Close-Up 13: Arbeit in der Höhle

What is happening here? What secret digging and other labor is under construction and for what reason? We migth not know.
